'Anyone can do it' is een simpel, amusant, ogenschijnlijk complex, intellectueel, exclusief en onvermijdelijk performance-stuk geïnspireerd op het Fluxus manifest (1965) van Georges Maciunas:
"Fluxmanifesto on fluxamusement – vaudeville – art? To establish artist's nonprofessional, nonparasitic, nonelite status in society, he must demonstrate own dispensability, he must demonstrate selfsufficiency of the audience, he must demonstrate that anything can substitute art and anyone can do it. Therefore this substitute art-amusement must be simple, amusing, concerned with insignificances, have no commodity or institutional value. It must be unlimited, obtainable by all and eventually produced by all. The artist doing art meanwhile, to justify his income, must demonstrate that only he can do art, art therefore must appear to be complex, intellectual, exclusive, indispensable, inspired. To raise its commodity value it is made to be rare, limited in quantity and therefore accessible not to the masses but to the social elite."
Instrumentatie/benodigdheden: zes tot twaalf onvoorbereide spelers (waarvan minstens twee ter plekke uitgenodigde publieksvrijwilligers), voor iedere speler een stoel, twee tot vierlcd-monitoren (17 of 19 inch) die via een splitter verbonden zijn aan één (apple) laptop met instructies & een onzichtbaar of onopvallend in de zaal gepositioneerde sadist die de instructies bedient (bij voorkeur de componist zelf).

"Selbst die seit 40 Jahren als verschollen geltende Kunstrichtung Fluxus, mit ihren Happening ähnlichen Konzerten, zeigte sich hier erstaunlich lebendig: Die niederländische Künstlerin Mayke Nas ließ in ihrer Uraufführung "Anyone can do it" sechs Personen auf der Bühne nach Anweisungen auf zwei Monitoren agieren. Sie trommelten mit ihren Fingern, stampften mit den Füßen. Die so zustande kommenden Rhythmen leben von der Spontanität der Protagonisten."
